I Am Learning To Write A Recount

The 100 Days Party

Wow! Room 7 had a fantastic party because we went to school 100 times!

First we did the zero the hero song and we did 100 exercises. Then we played 100. When you play it someone starts the game. Each person can say three numbers and we skip counted in tens and Mason won. It was fantastic!

Next we made the hundred cupcakes and iced them with yummy sprinkles and they were beautiful and looked very delicious and it was fantastic! I was amazed that we made 100 cupcakes. I put m and m’s on my cupcake and sprinkles.

Finally we made our 100 glasses and it was hard to make them and when Mrs Beach took a photo of me with the glasses I looked very silly. I was nearly the first one to finish the glasses. It took half an hour for room 7 to make them.

I think that the party was amazing but a little bit noisy! In my opinion I liked the cupcakes the best because they were delicious.

I Am Learning To Use Describing Words

For Mother’s Day we had to write a poem in word art.

We are learning to use describing words in our writing to make it interesting. We loved making our cards in Word Art and choosing the shape, colour and font.

I Am Learning To Use Capital Letters And Full Stops

I am learning to use capital letters correctly:

I use a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence.

I use a capital letter for the word ‘I.’

I use a capital letter for names of things.

I am learning to use full stops correctly:

I use a full stop at the end of a sentence.

When I grow up I want to be a policeman because I want to ride a police motorbike.


Reflection:
I am learning to use capital letters correctly
I was able to use a capital letter for the word ‘I.’
I found this easy because when I was year one I learnt to write words correctly.
My next step it to use a capital letter for names of things.

I am learning to retell an event in my own words, using a beginning, middle and ending. I have tried to use different sentence starters to make my story interesting.
