I am learning to sound out 3 letter words.

I am learning to say the first, middle and last sound in a word and then blend the sounds together to write the word.  This can help me in my reading and my writing.

I am learning to know how many more there are to 20.  This knowledge will help me image in my head.

Elm Park 50th Birthday Party

We launched our Celebration Inquiry with a huge party for Elm Park School. This year our school will turn 50! We had a great day with our school friends and our whanau.

I am learning to make the beginning and end sounds

I am learning to make the beginning and end sounds in unknown words.  I need to get my mouth ready to make the sound and this activity helps me remember.

I am learning to know doubles to 10

Savelii, you are able to match the double numbers to 10.  Next we will be working on knowing the doubles to 20.
